Bourbon Basics

Bourbon can be produced anywhere in the United States.
Bourbon that has been aged for at least two years may be designated as a straight bourbon.
No coloring or flavoring can be added to the process; the richness and depth are developed through barrel aging.
In 1964, the American Congress recognized Bourbon Whiskey as “a distinctive product of the United States.”
